| | Gentle Wind ~ Koda Kumi | ] | There really isn't any one word to describe the mood I am currently in. It's hard to find out that your damn web space provider deleted your account for no bloody reason and didn't feel like telling you that they were going to do it. It's also hard to wait some 10 or so hours waiting for a reply on an email from those same damn web space providers. It was a simple question: Is there anyway that I can get my files back temporarily so I can save the things that weren't mine? A simple yes or no would be fine. But no, their support makes you wait for forever and a day. Gah.
Thankfully, once I get a reply back from them, I am going to be switching servers. Earlier this morning I went host searching and found this really neat package. It's out of my normal little realm of just buying some space from a provider; it's one of those reseller deals. They give you -tons- (let me stress "tons") of space and bandwidth to do as you please (either reselling it to others, ect. ect.). In this paticular account I can receive about 10 gigs of space, 92 gigs of bandwidth, unlimited subdomains, unlimited domains, ftp accounts are unlimited, .php, pearl, cgi, free chatrooms, blogs, boards, ect. for way cheaper then I am paying yahoo for a small 200 megs of space and an even smaller amount of bandwidth. Again, it's not something I've done before, but I think it would be worth trying it out, ya?
Anyways. Mystic Cards is running more smoothly then it had been in the past (thankfully). It's a good retreat from the stress of softball and school. Fallen Angel is more then half way finished on my laptop with many new things added and changed. Now I just need a server to get it back up and running. ::sighs:: Baka server...... |

| | Eternal Snow-- Route L | ] | Finally! IT'S SATURDAY! *.*; And I don't have to do any chores or... or... anything! WOOT! That means Mystic shall finally get her butt in gear and actually do something productive. I haven't updated in awhile, ever sense I found that oh-so-lovely article about Mystic Cards by ferret. Yes, that one little article got me in such a tizzy that I lost interest in working on MC. I know I shouldn't let it bother me, but it did. Part of me just wanted to email Ferret and tell him that he had no right in telling me I should "suck it up and do my duty" when he hasn't even ran a site as large as Mystic Cards.
But, I'm not going to give him all the credit for the lack of updates. I've just been in a non-caring mood as of recently. Some members of Mystic Cards have been driving me up the wall, issues that are going on, the demand for more frequent updates and contests, and then there was Ferret. I'm surprised I actually got off my lazy ass and started to work on it yesterday and today. But you know what actually made me want to work on Mystic Cards? I found my old journal from when I was a freshman. It was an assiment to write in for my English class.
Well, as I read over my past enteries, I followed my dieing love for Animate Reviews and how mad I was that no body was doing anything to prevent it closing. I had just given up hope. Instead of saving it, I let it go. As I read on, two month before I closed AR, this site called Mystic Cards popped up! It started out as one or two paragraphs dedicated to MC between the rants of AR, then slowly AR had become those one or two paragraphs amongst three pages dedicated to MC. I talked about how much I loved my new site, that I was so proud that I was doing something by myself. That I, someone who was shunned from the TCG world, was doing something I could be proud of. Slowly AR was no more, but it was replaced by how happy I was that Mystic Cards was doing so well.
That's what made me want to update. Silly me as a 14 year old, rambling on about a TCG and how happy I was. I wanted to be that enthusiastic again about Mystic Cards. I didn't want to worry about everyone's nagging or pestering. I wanted to be that 14 year old again.
So I got insperation from my 14 year old self, and set to work. I'm going to try hard and not let people get to me as Ferret did. I'm not going to play that kind of ball. I'm doing what -I- like. If you don't like it, tough. You don't know how much I have tried to make everyone happy, or how much work I have put into Mystic Cards.
So Ferret you're probably not going to read this, but, I don't care. Call me naive, tell me I don't have any common sense or that I am an elitist. That Mystic Cards' "apple is rotten on the inside". That when I say that I am busy that I'm really not. Do you live in my life? Do you see the amounts of emails I get daily? Do you understand the types of people I have to deal with? Sure you do. You run a TCG don't you? Oh wait. You don't. My bad. So you don't know what I have to deal with. And yet you still take it upon yourself to judge me and my staff on the way we run Mystic Cards.
Anyways, now that I got that off my chest. I need to go work on Mystic Cards. |
